Ready to book?!

"I hate how I look in the majority of pictures. I feel like I always look fat or the angles wrong or I look tired, etc.  I have stretch marks and cellulite and flab that won’t go away. I have always hyper focused on those things. I was terrified to book a session. I thought it would be a waste of time, a waste of money…. But I can tell you honestly it was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life and I couldn’t have been more wrong in my initial thoughts. I don’t know what kind of magic Mallory has, but you WILL gain a new outlook. You will feel beautiful in your skin. You will smile at the pictures instead of criticize everything you think should be different.
Seriously, it’s a wonderful feeling. Walking out of there feeling beautiful and sexy. Things I had never felt about myself. I can’t wait to hang mine on my wall. I get so excited when Mallory uses one of my photos for an advertisement or testimonial. I freaking love how I look now. Not even just in the photos but also in my own eyes. I see the beauty now. Throw caution to the wind and do it. I’ve never been more grateful to myself. Or to Mallory. She’s got some kind of magic. I don’t know what it is, but she’s something. Really changes how you see yourself."

Marisa first reached out to me regarding our "Every Body" project.  This project was specifically to get women of all body types in the studio so that the women that followed my work could see that a boudoir session is for EVERYONE!  She expressed to me during our phone consultation that she was nervous and unsure if she would even like her images because she hates getting pictures taken of her but knew this was something she just had to do!  I told her that she already did the hardest part, INQUIRING.  It takes a lot of guts to send an email regarding something that scares you.  I was so happy she took a chance on me and herself!

Marisa was amazing from the start.  She has such a kind soul.  I truly enjoyed getting to know her on a deeper level!  Part of the reason she booked a session was to have as a gift for her soon to be husband on their wedding day... I knew this experience would end up being even more of a gift for herself!

She brought her own lounge set that we started in because I could tell she was nervous.  I wanted to make her as comfortable as possible as she expressed to me she was not very confident in her own skin. She told me that since she was young, her family would speak poorly about her body and the way she dressed.  She loosened up quickly and chose a gorgeous black lace bodysuit from our client closet for her second outfit.  She felt confident and sexy!  You could see it all over her face and how she started to carry herself!  I am so happy she picked that piece!  It is dreamy and pretty in the front and the back showed off her amazing curves in all the right ways!!!  It was a show stopper!

She wanted to incorporate her veil for her third outfit.  So we went with a gorgeous white lace bodysuit!  The images with this outfit were just STUNNING!  I know I was super giddy after capturing all the goodness and could not wait for her to view her images!  We ended her session with our steamy shower set where Marisa chose to be nude!  The fact that my client walked into the studio unsure of herself in a lounge set and finished with enough confidence to wear nothing... THIS IS WHY I AM A BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHER!  I want women to see themselves in a brand new light.  Marisa did not even need to see her images yet to feel empowered and confident.  The experience alone is what provided that, viewing her images was just the cherry on top!
